I understand it appears to be funny to tell you to start doing squats when we're talking about your abdominals but you need to know it's the best exercise you can do. Why is that? These exercises will kick start your metabolism quickly. And this will dramatically enhance your body's ability to get rid of extra fat.
Next, there are a few core exercises that you can do to strengthen your mid section. Mountain Climber is the next exercise you need as part of your abdominal ripping program. To do this ab exercise, you need to get into position on the floor like you are about to do a push-up. You will not be exercising your chest and arms like a push up but rather you will be moving your legs to work out your abs and legs.
The motion is simple. Move your right leg towards your chect and bend your knee. Then move your leg back to the original position. Then do the same with the other leg. Just like the name of the Mountain Climber exercise describes, the motion is like you are climbing up a mountain.
Now you will need to add what I call the modified ab crunch move. This does require you to use an exercise ball. With your feet flat on the floor and knees bent, you rest the mid section of your back on the exercise ball. Then do a crunch. Be sure not to move your neck but rather move your entire upper body.
Another great exercise using the exercise ball is to get into a push up position. Have your feet straddle the ball instead of being on the floor. Squeeze the ball and slowly rock the ball back and forth.
